We had the privilege of reimagining a school courtyard which also serves as the main entrance.  The space had remained virtually untouched since its creation in 1952. Our mission was to honor the site’s rich history while transforming it into a vibrant, functional, and sustainable centerpiece for the school. The redesigned courtyard now serves as both a welcoming entrance and a dynamic outdoor environment for learning, gathering, and celebration.

The vision was to honor heritage with forward-thinking innovation, our approach sought to create a sustainable, multi-functional space that reflects the school’s mission and values.

This distinctive courtyard design features irregular flagstone paving with planted joints that help manage stormwater by absorbing runoff. Floating stone benches, illuminated from beneath, create a welcoming and functional outdoor space, offering students and teachers a serene environment for learning, collaboration, and relaxation.
